Cold Weather Heading To Minneapolis Region Could Lead To Property Disaster Problems

Minnesota can get quite cold in the winter time, but this year it has been on the milder side. People in Minnesota have been able to not bundle up in so many layers, and go outside without the fear of frostbite! But this week the temperatures are going down into the subzero category, and even below! This means that it’s time to bring out the extra coats and long johns, because Jack Frost is definitely going to be making an appearance in Minneapolis over the next week.
The end of this weekend will still be in the mid 30’s, but as the new week begins we definitely will begin to see a rapid decrease in temperature. As well as the temperature dropping, there is also a high chance for accumulation of snow. This means that you may need to bring out the shovels coming into the next week because snow is being predicted!
Starting off the new week, it is being predicted that the high will be about 13 degrees, but it will probably stay even lower and may even reach -7 degrees. If you don’t have to go outside, it is recommended that you don’t. With this low temperature and a high wind, it is much easier for someone to get frostbite.
As we continue further into the week, the temperatures will start to rise, but it will still be in the low teens. It won’t reach 20 degrees or higher until Sunday. These low temperatures are due to the cold front coming in from Canada, but should subside by next week. Since it will be so cold, it is always a good idea to get your pipes checked so that they don’t freeze and crack, and always make sure that your home is winterized so you can’t feel winters harsh effects in your home.
